PHI POWDERBROWS
Powder brows is a cosmetic semi permanent makeup technique designed to create eyebrows with soft powder effect, very similar to powder makeup. Powder effect is done with a shading technique using a permanent makeup device, which is similar to a tattoo gun.
Our trained artist use a small needle to place pigment into the skin with a quick hand motion, resulting in a pixelated effect of powder makeup. In order to add density, the artists can layer the pixels repetitively, which will appear as though the brow was filled in with a pencil or brow pomade. The art in shading is to layer the pixels perfectly without appearing denser and darker then your natural eyebrow hair. Our master artists are able to do just that so when you walk out of the MLA Studio, your brows appear the most natural.
Powderbrows is perfect for clients who draw on their eyebrows everyday, this can be an excellent solution. It is also a great alternative for clients that are not good candidates for Microblading or Combo Brows because their skin is too oily as shading is suitable for any skin type!
Our customers often have great results after one session with shading. The first touch-up has to be done 6-8 weeks after the treatment to ensure your brows are perfect and the color is even throughout the whole eyebrow or if for any reason you want to add more density to them.
We recommend yearly touch up, after the initial complementary touchup, to maintain the crispness and freshness of the color. Natural fading occurs from external factors such as exposure to the sun as well as internal factors such as the gradual break down of pigments as your body metabolizes it out of your system. Everyone can experience the fading process differently and it really comes down to skin type and lifestyle.
POWDERBROWS AFTERCARE:
Careful aftercare is essential for a good healed result. It will minimize the risk of infection and skin trauma. You will be given an aftercare product to be applied for the first week after the treatment. You must use this and no other lotion or skincare products. Keep them as dry and clean as possible for the first week.
1 hour after treatment clean the eyebrows throughly with the after care wipe apply the after care cream in a thin layer. Then repeat every 2 to 3 hours.
Before you go to bed clean the eyebrows for the last time with the after care wipe and apply a thing layer of the after care cream.
On day 2 clean the brow area 24 hours after the treatment and apply a thin layer of the after care cream. No more washing or cleaning the brows for the next 5 days. Only apply the after care cream 3 times a day to prevent them from becoming dry.
For the first you may still wear make up, just avoid getting it into your eyebrows when cleansing your face carefully clean around the eyebrows you can’t get your eyebrows wet after the second day, you might experience some mild peeling is part of the skin regeneration/ renewal process, it is important no to scrub or pick within the first week and allow the skin to heal naturally in its own time, scrubbing and picking lead to poor pigment retention.
Skin healing takes 28 days which is why we don’t top up before 4 weeks preferably after 45 days.
During the healing process, the skin will go through some changes. Healing is different for everyone but these are some of the stages and what to expect. During the first 2-4 days after treatment the brows will be darker (up to 40%) and will also look thicker don’t worry, they will shrink once healed and the color will lighten.
You may experience some mild peeling, dry skin, small scabs in the area is normal, just don’t pick them and allow to heal naturally. It is very important no to scrub or pick within the first week and allow your skin to heal naturally.
Within the second week, the color will fade, it may look patchy, uneven and can even look like it has disappeared, it is normal and the color will come back in the week 3 or 4 before your touch up, this is when we make corrections and add color if need it.
